I do whatever I can to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill.
Much of what I make I give away to people that I think will appreciate the stuff.
One such project is to make a 60 bird boxes from a dozen sheets of rough cut chipboard and then give them to neighbours.
A local gardener had completely landscaped a garden and all the off-cuts to the sleepers he was using for the borders and raised beds he had thrown in the skip.
I asked if I could take them and he was delighted to have someone make use of them.
I built two garden seats with the wood and some decking that I took up for a friend.
This is the first I have painted and the second is still work in progress.
